A love of farming and a keen interest in the paddock-to-plate food journey has propelled Jack’s high-achieving career in the meat industry. An expert when it comes to cuts and trims, the talented Hunter Valley butcher, who has a decade of experience, also has a flare for cooking. Taking on the ownership of 21st Century Meats is a dream come true as it allows him to combine all his passions including serving his customers. When he is not sourcing the best local quality meats and perfecting his craftmanship, Jack is preparing quality value added products, and readymade meals.

Born and bred locally, Jack honed his skills as a butcher straight from school where he was later named the Australian Meat Industry Council Apprentice of the Year. He has competed in various international competitions, including as a finalist in the World Butchers Challenge held in Ireland with the Young Australian Butchers Team and securing seventh place at the World Butcher’s Challenge.

Jack took a short break to further his career by running cattle on a property and learning ethical farming before returning to the industry.

After operating a successful mobile butchery business, an opportunity opened to take over 21st Century Meats at Rutherford. This fulfilled a long-held ambition to own a butchery retail outlet and produce quality products for the local community.

His specialty gourmet products include Italian meatballs, pork belly bites and smoked brisket as well as scrumptious pastries & pies

Jack is aware of the cost-of-living pressures and ensures there is also a range of value packs that allow families to enjoy quality meats at an affordable price. Century 21st Meats also offers home delivery twice a week.
